Shane Raymond: Fit For Competing

Almost unbelievable that this musclebound athlete is not satisfied with his physique: "For me I am weak all over", bodybuilder Shane Raymond says. "When I look at myself, I don't see a strong body part but think: Oh, my arms could be improved a bit more, and my chest and my back as well. But that keeps me going." Shane is a 29 year old natural bodybuilder, has been competing for two years and been training for about 11 years. He has gained a huge following as one of the elite team of athletes sponsored by Grenade Fatburner (www.grenadefatburner.com/team-grenade). Shane trains four to five times per week using a three week rotation program that consists of pre-exhaust, volume and heavy work outs using basic movements with free weights. Shane sticks to a healthy balanced diet all year round to stay in shape. One of his aims in life is to build the best natural physique he possibly can through consistent training and dieting and maybe win a world title. In this video Shane talks about his competition preparation and history, and the importance of the support he gets from fans that gives him that extra boost in confidence.

Chris Evans: The Body Of A Superheroe

Photos by Marvel Studios

He is so strong that the most dangerous villains don't stand a chance. Actor Chris Evans currently conquers the big screen and saves the world as "Captain America: The First Avenger". There are many imposing special effects in the movie, whereas Chris' highly ripped physique is real: massive arms, tight abs, and huge pecs which are already famous. Evans reportedly put on about 15 to 20 lbs of muscle for the movie. To get reliable information how he has built and sculpted that body, listen to the heroe himself in two videos in which Chris talks about his workout routine, nutrition, and his part of Captain America.

More statements of Chris Evans regarding his workout and nutrition needed to gain the size required for Captain America:

Training: "They flew a trainer out, so we did four months, two hours a day and it was brutal. I usually like working out. You know, going in sucks, but walking out you’re like ’I’m glad I did that.’ This was different. I’d come out saying ’I hate this trainer. I hate this movie. I want to go to sleep for a week.’ It was just relentless."

Chest muscles: "Normally you do three sets, twelve reps until you feel a little burn, then you go to a new muscle. This guy, you’d do four workouts for chest and then you’re feeling like your chest was on fire. He’d say ’Let’s go over here’ and I’d say ’What are we doing now?’ and he’d say ’We’re doing chest.’ I’d say, "We’ve done chest! Chest is done!’ You’d do an hour of chest, six different workouts and just the extent to which we’d push things was just grueling."

Eating: "I’ve got a very fast metabolism and I lose weight very quickly so for me to get big I just had to eat a lot. That was the hardest part. Working out sucks but eating sucks more. If you just keep eating and keep eating... and it’s not like I’m eating ice cream and cake! You have to eat a naked piece of chicken. You get to the point where you just can’t look at another piece of chicken."

Tyler Garceau: Bodybuilder, Model, Wrestler

Photos from Facebook Tyler Garceau

His arms measure 20 inches, and he rejoices at them. Tyler Garceau is a true powerhouse. Buff, strong, athletic. His development and transformation are striking. He has gained much size lately, and the more muscle he builds, the more enthusiastic his fans are. But not only his physique is imposing. The 24-year-old avid athlete impresses also when talking about his approach to fitness and his attitude towards life. Natural bodybuilder, fitness model, wrestler, and smart guy - here Tyler Garceau tells his story:

I have a passion for training. I started out by working out to get stronger while playing ice hockey. While hockey is a huge part of my life, I'm a fan of the Detroit Red Wings, WWE, NFL football, and American Muscle cars. I have a 700 horsepower 1995 Trans Am and a 2005 Dodge Ram 2500 Cummins. I love power and modifying vehicles with performance parts!

When I was 19, I moved to New York City to give modeling a try. I wanted to get out in the world to make as many opportunities for myself as I could. I wanted to make a name for myself, and becoming a model in NYC was something I always wanted to pursue. Living in New York city and starting a modeling career was a big change for me cause I've lived my whole life in a small town, but I'm glad that I took the chance and never looked back. Getting brought on board with a TOP agency, was a rush! Signing with Major Model Management and getting my first modeling job, which was Abercrombie and Fitch was a great accomplishment! I did fashion modeling for 3 -4 years and decided to gain muscle. I gained around 80 lbs in 2 years naturally!

I love watching wrestling in particular John Cena, my role model. In August 2010, I enrolled in one of the top wrestling schools in the country. Some of wrestling's greatest names John Cena, Brock Lesnar, Batista, Randy Orton and many others have trained here. I am currently still training here to reach my ultimate goal to be on the grandest stage of them all, the WWE.

Some days, it's tough to stay motivated. My dad has always kept on me through everything. He's so motivating, one of those guys who will tell you a story or give you a pep talk and you will be shaking to go do something, you will just have an adrenaline rush. He taught me hard work beats talent any day. He would tell me that no matter what I'm doing or what I wanna do, that I should work hard day-in and day-out to be the best. No matter how good I did at something he would tell me I had more to give, he inspired me to become better. I love that about him!

When people ask me for advice, I always tell them to never give up, progress is a long road. You can seriously do anything if you work hard enough at it. Whether it's your first attempt or your hundredth, hard work, discipline, and dedication pays off!

Tyler is currently preparing for the 2011 NPC Natural Northern Championships. His goal regarding his arms: 22 inches. His fans will be delighted.
